Anna Pavoni is a co-owner of two successful restaurants in Sydney, starting this dream with her husband and business partner Alessandro when they opened Ormeggio at The Spit in 2009. She is currently involved with Ormeggio at The Spit and Chiosco By Ormeggio, and manages the centralised Support Office for these businesses - everything from Accounts to PR, Marketing, HR, Reservations, Events, Legal and more. She has her own consulting business and enjoys the opportunities of working with others that this provides. In 2014 Anna was a finalist in the Appetite for Excellence Young Restaurateur of the Year. She is mother to Jada and Luca.
She is also a founding member and on the board with WoHo, a not for profit association which supports the career development of Women in Hospitality. She has also developed an informal networking initiative specifically for female restaurateurs, called the Council of W.A.R (Women and Restaurants). She is absolutely dedicated to spreading the message that hospitality is a career path, and not just limited to the traditional back and front of house positions of chef/waiter/manager.
Anna holds a Bachelor of Business (Accounting, Management, Latin Languages), a Bachelor of Arts in International Studies (French), Diploma of Human Resources, Diploma of Hospitality (Sommelier), and a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment.
Anna and Alessandro opened a'Mare and Il Caffé in the prestigious and iconic Crown Sydney at Baragaroo in December 2020.
